Because of our varied backgrounds, we are able to view our clients' business concerns from many points of view in order to come up with a cost-effective, feasible, practical, and wise solution. Our aim is to hold our clients' hands throughout the entire process of the project. Take a look at a few of the solutions we came up with for our clients... who, we can proudly add, are quite satisfied!

Bell Atlantic:

Problem: Bell Atlantic has many different computer systems and platforms. There are links between these different systems that send thousands of messages to each other such as service orders. Obviously, these messages are extremely important and should the messages stop flowing, messages would get backed up. Work wouldn't get done. And no one even knew. As a result, customers were unhappy because their needs weren't being met. Bell Atlantic had to know to signal themselves when the flow stopped for some reason.

Quadrix Solution: Using Java, QSI helped Bell Atlantic set up a system that would push information out to management whenever there was a problem in the flow of information. They didn't need to go anywhere to see whether there was a problem, the information was pushed out to them, enabling them to be aware of the problem immediately and attend to it. In addition, the "signal" was graphically easy to read, giving them the ability to size up the situation at a glance. For example, green told managers all was O.K. Red signaled to them there was a problem. This enabled management to see the problem -- immediately, quickly, and easily.

BMG:

Problem #1: BMG was going to move their servers from one NOC to another. They knew that they could not simply unplug the servers and plug them back in at the new location and expect everything to work. And they couldn't afford for everything not to work. They would lose millions of hits each day! They came to QSI to help educate them about the issues involved with the move.

Quadrix Solution #1: QSI came in, educated them about the issues, and made sure that when they flipped the switch at the new location, things worked. There was virtually no down time. Without assistance, they probably would have lost over a weeks worth of up time, resulting in a loss of seven to ten million hits!

BMG:

Problem #2: BMG's servers were not optimally designed for security, performance, or maintenance. Internally, they lacked the expertise to improve the situation and maintain them on an ongoing basis.

Quadrix Solution #2: QSI documented their current system and developed a security policy for them. In addition, we redesigned their servers from the ground up and implemented their security policy. Paying close attention to detail, we continually add process and automation improvements to further enhance their system.

Cooperative Communications, Inc.:

Problem: Cooperative Communications, Inc. needed a reliable, leading edge technology partner to help them develop their Internet Community concept. They needed a partner that could support their push into the Internet business.

Quadrix Solution: We built several Web Sites and integrated a Real Audio server with a chat-room server by Blaxxun into a unified solution. We installed and supported all software and a special purpose ISDN dial-in line that allows Cooperative Communications to conduct live music and comedy events on their Web Site. We participated in several test events from The Crossroads Jazz club. More test events are anticipated in the near future.

American Cyanamid:

Problem: American Cyanamid needed an electronic course catalog for their training department. They had built a program using another software product that whenever the course catalog changed, the information was outdated, and they would need to prepare new disks for everyone.

Quadrix Solution: We suggested developing a catalog that was Web based so that the training department could update the data quickly, easily and inexpensively. This cost-effective solution enabled all employees to have updated information all the time right at their desktops.

Steelcase:

Problem: Steelcase has a new revolutionary product line. The building of the product is complex and to ensure quality it is imperative that all the right pieces are ordered and configured correctly.

Quadrix Solution: By modeling the process in SAP, QSI was able to help them ensure that the process is correct. It moves the process closer to zero defects as it reduces error and ensures that the specifications are correct and accurate.
